Role description

Our growing Product Experience team is looking for a talented Senior UX Researcher. Proton is investing in user-centered design, which is why we are looking for motivated individuals who can ensure our products reflect best UX practices, address our users' pain points, and meet the company's business objectives. The team currently consists of six UX/UI Designers and is eager to find someone who will help them make better UX decisions by integrating UX research findings into the design process.

What you will do

  • Plan, build and run the UX Research function as well as be a hands-on contributor
  • Lead the efforts to understand our users using a variety of quantitative and qualitative methods
  • Translate insights into actionable product recommendations
  • Test design solutions to ensure we’re solving users’ top needs as we evolve our products
  • Collaborate with design, product, marketing, analytics teams to influence product design and innovation
  • Be an advocate at Proton for user-centered design
  • Develop the organization's mastering of key behavioral and cognitive patterns

Job requirements

  • Between 3 and 5 years of hands-on experience in conducting qualitative and quantitative end-to-end UX research projects
  • Master's degree in behavioral science, human-computer interaction/design, psychology, human factors, or any related field
  • Proven track record of research output leading to statistically significant increases in performance
  • Experience using research methods at different stages of a design process
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
  • Experience establishing and analyzing UX metrics
  • Experience facilitating workshops/co-creation exercises
  • Experience working with a software development cycle (ideally consumer-facing productivity SaaS for a global market) would be considered a plus
