Role description

As an experienced PR manager you’ll own our public relations strategy. Thanks to your strong network of media contacts and your natural talent for storytelling, you’ll raise awareness for our brand, both by feeding journalists exciting stories but also by cultivating personal relationships with journalists and by becoming their trusted source of information for topics related to our brand.

You are a results-driven communicator with a track record of leading high-growth initiatives, and your experience in crisis management and comfort with taking initiative make you thrive in a fast-paced environment.



  • Develop a comprehensive public relations strategy that will drive explosive growth.

  • Conduct research and studies with the goal of generating exciting stories for journalists and proactively reach out to them.

  • Build new and strengthen existing relationships with key journalists, media outlets, and influencers with the goal of becoming their trusted contact.

  • Engage with policymakers, NGOs, and other companies to promote online privacy and security as key pillars of free society.

  • Create compelling press releases, fact sheets, pitch letters, presentations, speech points, Q&As, FAQs, and social media messages.

  • Manage all PR inbound media inquires and media kits.

  • Provide Q&As for interviews, answer international media requests, and respond at a moment’s notice to breaking stories and crises, including possible nights and weekends.

  • Continually refine the PR processes, metrics, and tools. 

  • Coordinate with internal teams and creative agencies on the development, implementation, and optimization of content.

  • Create and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports and analysis.

  • Keep abreast of the newest trends, innovations, and technologies in the online advertising industry.


Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or equivalent work experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in public relations, media relations, and crisis management.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with media outlets, journalists, influencers, key external stakeholders, as well as with internal teams.

  • Proven ability to drive change among policymakers, NGOs, and other companies.

  • Proven track record of having generated substantial brand mentions, awareness that resulted in strong growth.

  • Solid understanding of social media platforms and their dynamics.

  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to quickly identify trending topics.

  • Excellent writing, editing, verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills, and the ability to explain complicated concepts in a structured, easy to understand way.

  • Ability to work under time constraints and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative and creative environment.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team while multi-tasking and managing competing priorities.

  • Experience with global, multi-brand, multilingual companies.

  • Independent, self-motivated, and proactive, you don’t require constant input and you have meticulous attention to detail.

  • Flawless written and spoken English communication skills.


Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in the tech and SaaS industries.

  • Experience with both B2C and B2B marketing.

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, always-on startup environments.

  • Fluency in other languages.
