As an experienced localization manager, you have a proven track record of building, scaling, and optimizing localization processes.

You know how to deliver world-class globalized content that is culturally relevant and linguistically appropriate across a variety of channels, such as software UI, advertising content, support articles, websites, press releases, and more, all while maintaining the highest standard of quality.

What you will do:

  • Own our localization efforts from strategy to execution.
  • Design and implement efficient and scalable end-to-end localization frameworks for multiple products and diverse content types across the whole Proton ecosystem.
  • Own our linguistic quality assurance process, working closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure Proton’s linguistic quality meets our extremely high bar in all languages
  • Actively work with our localization vendor(s) to deliver projects on-time and on-budget.
  • Create and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports and analyses.
  • Keep abreast of the newest trends, innovations, and technologies in the online advertising industry.


    Job requirements

    Minimum qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience as a localization manager or similar role.
    • Experience with localization platforms, CAT/TMS tools that manage and/or automate the translation workflow.
    • Proven track record of managing a variety of file formats and integrations, such as XML, JSON, APIs, and more.
    • Proven track record of localizing a variety of content types, such as, software UI, advertising content, support articles, websites, press releases, and more.
    • Thorough understanding of translation technologies: translation memory, translation management systems, machine translation, etc.
    • Familiarity with internationalization standards, such as Unicode and CLDR.
    • Deep understanding of internationalization requirements.
    • Strong project and program management, with the ability to thrive in a high-growth, fast-paced startup environment.
    • Independent, self-motivated, and proactive. You don’t require constant input, and you have meticulous attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication, management, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
    • Good written and spoken English.
    • Fluency in one other language.


      Preferred qualifications

      • Experience in tech and SaaS industries.
      • Experience with both B2C and B2B marketing.
