ProtonMail was born at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) in 2013 when a group of scientists and engineers envisioned an email service that empowers users to own their private data and keeps them safe from mass surveillance. Since then, ProtonMail has grown to become the world’s largest secure email service, with over 15 million users and a profitable business model. We are looking for passionate people to join our growing team and help us build a suite of security tools that safeguard privacy online and build a better Internet.
As a member of our Content Team, you’ll help create multimedia content that builds awareness and trust in our brand, inspires people to take steps toward securing their digital lives, and communicates our vision of an Internet where everyone controls their own data.
We prize writers who can quickly grasp difficult technical topics and turn abstract ideas into compelling, actionable copy. You will be an expert on the brand voice. On any given day, you may need to write news commentary for the blog, write a script for a how-to video, or write UI copy for a new product. And you’ll be expected to work constructively with colleagues across the company.
But the role is more proactive than reactive. You’ll need an eye for content ideas and a strong understanding of what makes our user community tick. Together with the other members of your team, you’ll develop the marketing content calendar, help implement the overall content strategy, and track your progress through key engagement metrics.
If you’re a results-driven marketer, feel comfortable taking initiative, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this is a great opportunity to play a pivotal role in a fast-growing company. You will have a concrete impact on the future of the business as a whole.
